Growing up with a solid Foundation in Training...
Puppies receive training from day one, literally. All training is done through only positive reinforcement methods, and goes far beyond your basic Sit, Down and Stay.
A method of conditioning is used that does begin on the first day of a puppy's life. The goal is to prepare the puppies for the normal things will be asked of them during their lifetime. Such as, being used to human touch. Allowing themselves to be groomed, paws held, ears touched, etc.
The puppies from the nursery are generally further advanced than most because of the methods used. By the time they are 5 weeks old they are used to being groomed, held, paws touched, nails cut, can walk on a leash and are used to wearing a collar, are potty trained to paper, can sit, down, understand the concept of stay and come, know enough to play with toys, each other, their parents, and not bite the humans, they know the commands leave it and drop it or release.
By the time they leave the nursery they have a good set of house and people manners as well as social skills necessary to interact with other canines. Many have come out of the nursery and can pass or have passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test by 15 weeks old.
More than 90% of the puppies that have been produced are now Therapy dogs. A good number of puppies have also gone on to programs and have become Service animals for the disabled.
Families that have adopted our puppies are always welcomed back for guidance in further training and maintaining the training the puppies have already received.
